Princess Cruises was catapulted to stardom in 1977 when the Pacific Princess was cast on a new TV show called The Love Boat. Today, Princess Cruises carries thousands of passengers each year to destinations in Hawaii & the South Pacific.
For three decades, the sun has risen on the beautiful ships of Princess Cruises. Spacious staterooms, many with private balconies, offer a luxury that Princess has now made affordable to all. Comparable in size to other recently built vessels, Princess Cruises ships carry significantly fewer passengers. And Princess Cruises’ newest vessels, offer choice and variety, intimacy and spaciousness, with multiple dining rooms and entertainment lounges. Fabulous amenities include everything from computerized golf centers to a virtual reality center. Princess Cruises’ fleet offers more staterooms with private balconies than any other, more dining options so you can dine where you want, when you want, and more entertainment variety than ever before with as many as three different theaters playing nightly.
Princess Cruises Ships
In addition to incorporating a wide range of choices, vessels in the Princess fleet are specifically designed to provide the ultimate in affordable luxury, with an emphasis on “big ship choice with small ship feel.” No matter the size of the ship, public spaces are designed to feel intimate and are decorated in a contemporary style, allowing passengers to enjoy themselves in an informal, relaxed onboard atmosphere that mirrors today’s lifestyles. The company has also long been the leader in building ships specifically designed to accommodate an extensive number of the most sought-after shipboard luxury – the private balcony. Princess pioneered the concept of the affordable veranda, once an exclusive feature incorporated in only the most expensive suites. Today, Princess’ fleet offers one of the highest percentages of balcony cabins in the industry, across all cabin categories.
The physical design and decor of the ships, coupled with Princess’ hallmark service excellence, creates an onboard atmosphere of relaxed luxury in which passengers can enjoy their perfect vacation experience.
Princess Cruises Accommodations
Princess staterooms offer the deluxe amenities you’d expect from a first-class hotel: everything from 24-hour room service to chocolates on the pillow at night. All staterooms feature twin beds that make up into a comfortable queen-size bed, a refrigerator and TV. Princess has affordable cabin categories, which will satisfy any budget:
- Inside Cabins
- Outside Cabins with large picture windows
- Outside Cabins with private balconies
- Suites – larger accommodations that may have a separate sitting room with sofa bed, a private balcony, two televisions, a refrigerator with a wet bar, a walk-in closet and a bath with tub and shower.
Suite categories and amenities vary by ship.
Princess Cruises Destinations
Princess Cruises sails to some of the most beautiful and exotic destinations in the world. Princess is famous for their fabulous Caribbean cruises, but even more popular for their extensive Alaska Cruises and European cruise tours – unique vacations that combine a cruise vacation with a land vacation. Princess covers the globe with hundreds of Cruise itineraries including Africa Cruise, Asia Cruise, Australia Cruise, Canada Cruise, Hawaii Cruise, the Mexican Riviera Cruise, Panama Canal Cruise and South America Cruises.
Princess Cruises Dining
This exciting, new approach to shipboard dining enhances Princess’ trademark 24-hour restaurant choice with yet another option. Now passengers can dine where, when and with whom they want in their signature dining rooms. While other cruise lines may let you dine when you want, it may not necessarily be with whom you want. They may offer several seating times, but they don’t offer “anytime” dining options. Princess is the only cruise line to give passengers both Traditional Fixed Seating and restaurant-style Anytime Dining. Whichever dining option you choose, you’ll enjoy the same delectable menus and follow the same dress code as in the dining rooms each night.
In addition to the Personal Choice Dining option, there are always two seatings for dinner. Princess also offers select theme nights featuring famous cuisines from around the world, including French and Italian. Relax while you dine on such delights as lobster and caviar, filet mignon and flavored souffles. On some ships they also feature steak houses offering a variety of options.
All Princess ships have dining options available around the clock. From 24-hour pizzerias and room service; to casual dining bistros and grills; and on to upscale specialty restaurants you’ll find plethora of choices for the most discriminating palate.
Princess Cruises Kids & Teens
The Princess Kids & Off Limits Teens programs make child’s play of family travel. Princess Youth and Teen Centers offer a boatload of fun, featuring everything from arts and crafts to video games, discos, movies, splash pools and more!
Junior cruisers ages 3 to 17 can enjoy a boatload of exciting onboard activities. Princess’ dedicated youth centers are staffed by trained counselors, who are ready to ensure each young sailor stays happy all day long. And older kids can enjoy Teen Centers that are packed with Nintendo, movies, Karaoke, giant screen TVs, card games, board games, ping-pong tables and jukeboxes. In addition to all these features, on select ships, teens have a separate Jacuzzi and sun deck area made just for them.
Princess also offers teenage passengers a wide range of activities such as: Bop ’til you Drop, teens-only disco, the Dating Game, shipboard Olympics, T-shirt painting, basketball tournaments, Karaoke and lip-sync shows, casino night, pizza parties and movie fests.
Princess Cruises Onboard Activities & Entertainment
Princess pioneered the concept of putting passengers in control of their own cruise experience. This revolutionary concept gave passengers the freedom to choose from a wide range of flexible onboard facilities, amenities and services in order to create a personal vacation experience to suit their own needs and preferences.
Personal Choice Cruising is apparent across the entire fleet, with each vessel offering its own unique version of a host of multiple dining options and locations; flexible and varied entertainment selections; and a full complement of onboard activities ranging from shuffleboard to scuba certification. Often copied but never duplicated, the Princess concept of cruise vacation customization has since been adopted as the touchstone of new ship design for the entire cruise industry.
What do you want to do today? With Princess you have the freedom to choose from an endless selection of activities tailored to suit your unique onboard experience. That’s the beauty of Personal Choice. It’s your cruise. There a variety of poolside relaxation options on your Princess Cruise. Take an afternoon dip, soak up the sun, or swim against the current. Every cruise features award-winning production shows, most of which are written, costumed and choreographed by Princess. These exciting, lavish productions feature some of the largest casts at sea, performing hits from Broadway to the contemporary classics of today. Many Princess vessels feature more than one theater venue, ensuring that you have the choice of seeing a show before or after dinner… or maybe you’d rather wait until another night? No problem – it’s all about choice. And at Princess, they understand that there are so many things to do, you need the flexibility that only Personal Choice Cruising can afford.
How about before dinner or after the show? Kick off or end the evening with cocktails in one of the ship’s cozy lounges or bars. This is the perfect time to meet shipboard friends and swap stories about the afternoon’s adventures. If you’re still in the mood to keep going, then be sure to bring along your dancing shoes, because Princess has multiple live bands that cater to every musical taste. There are many dance venues ensure you keep in the ‘swing’ of things.
